Happy to take your call
Andrew McGrath was an obvious choice for me for this 6th Edition of the Inspiring Leaders Series. We hit it off over a few wines in Hong Kong earlier this year after he took a punt on catching up with an Aussie in fact-finding mode across some key legal markets in Asia (me!). Since then we’ve built a strong professional and personal relationship, and as the article highlights have successfully collaborated on our first Senior BD Leaders Forum in June. Andrew epitomises the traits I value in the work I do; passion, purpose, generosity, curiosity, of putting clients and people first - many who’ve become close friends. And of course, he likes to have some fun along the way, as those who know him will attest!

In Indonesia it is currently cookies, having spent 5 years with Dough Lab - an artisanal cookie company set up by my friend Hana Makarim.

But beyond his professional accomplishments, Stu, his wife Vicky and family are facing their most important challenge: fundraising for research into SLC6A1, the rare genetic disorder his young son Will lives with.
Calm when it counts
I've had the privilege of working with Anna through MinterEllison's Client Program over the past year. What struck me first wasn't her title or her track record — it was how she thinks. Commercially sharp, genuinely curious, warm yet disarmingly direct. I wanted to share some of that with a broader audience. Anna has built her career at the intersection of strategy, technology and client growth across some of Australia's most respected professional services firms. A few things stayed with me …
